The St John’s College project to provide a new library and study facilities also involved refurbishing the old libraries as part of the process.
During the works discoveries were found including hidden wall paintings which required specialised skills. Cliveden Conservations’ Decorative Arts team were contracted to stabilise and make safe the wall paintings. They were also involved in the redecoration and conservation treatment of the Laudian Library and Old Library.
