Work continues at the Crown Bar, Belfast

20th February 2024

Members of our conservation team were pleased to return to the famous Crown Bar in Belfast where they had carried out a comprehensive clean and restoration of the tiled facade back in 2007.

The Crown, formerly known as The Liquor Saloon in Great Victoria Street, is a grade A listed building owned by the National Trust and is a truly stunning example of a traditional Victorian gin palace.

This latest visit saw a deep clean of all the tiles and some touching up of fills where these needed to be replaced.

ITV covered the story and featured our conservators at work.
