In memory of Harry Brockway

8th February 2024

Tom Flemons, Cliveden Conservation’s Bath Workshop Manager, says a few words in memory of Harry Brockway:

“Harry worked as a sub-contractor with us at Cliveden Conservation for over twenty years. He brought with him enthusiasm, passion and skill and was such a lovely man to work with. Incredibly talented, fantastically skilled with a great eye for fine detail, we all learnt an enormous amount from his approach and always enjoyed having him around. His sculpture, carving, and lettercutting provide such a lasting legacy; it is lovely to be able to visit one of his pieces in the village of Kilmersdon close to our workshop. A very ‘Harry’ styled carving celebrating Jack and Jill Hill. I will greatly miss him as will all those who worked with and alongside him at the workshop.”

Harry Brockway’s obituary was featured in the Guardian on 6 February 2024.
