13th May 2025

The highly anticipated return of the popular BBC Two and BBC iPlayer six-part series, ‘Hidden Treasures of the National Trust,’ is just around the corner. Mark your calendars for Friday, 16th May (9 pm, BBC Two and BBC iPlayer) as we embark on an exciting journey with the third season.

Once again, the series showcases the exceptional skills and dedication of our conservators. In episode 2 (Friday 23rd May), viewers will witness the meticulous work of skilled conservator Ana as she restores the elegant La Baccelli life-size plaster statue at National Trust Knole. Episode 6 (Friday 20th June) features conservators Douglas and Laura, who undertake the challenging task of restoring the Long Gallery ceiling at Lanhydrock National Trust, a masterpiece of Jacobean ornamental plasterwork.

We are thrilled to announce that our conservators are not only making waves on screen but also in print. They are featured in a new book by the National Trust, which accompanies the successful BBC series ‘Hidden Treasures of the National Trust’ attracting over 2m viewers in each episode. The book delves into the unseen treasures in the National Trust’s care and their fascinating stories, celebrating the skills and passion of those who look after these objects.
