Plasterwork Conservation | Plasterwork Modelling

We are proud of our reputation as being a company that undertakes work of the highest standard, no less so than in our decorative plasterwork.

Cliveden Conservation were the first to perfect freehand modeling in this country.

The knowledge gained from our research has become the basis of much of the great plaster reinstatement projects we have undertaken including Windsor Castle, The houses of Castletown Cox and Abey Leix in South Ireland and Edinburgh Castle.

Our expertise in carving has allowed us to develop the skills to undertake freehand modelling work on decorative plaster ceilings.

Mynde, Wales - Plaster Ceiling, Finshed Detail

We have invaluable experience in stylistic interpretation gained from projects undertaken on works of art from many periods for both the museums and for The National Trust, whilst our laboratory has the technical skills to develop new materials to emulate their historic counterparts.
