| The quality of this resource
is available for both our many site and workshop projects
and also as a consultation resource by request.
Trevor Proudfoot as advisor to the National Trust for both
stone and plaster conservation for over 20 years has been
involved in many of the conservation projects for most of
their historic houses.
Since our independence in 1990 the workshop has advised and
been contracted to conserve stone and plasterwork in many
historic buildings in the private and public sectors.

The depth of our knowledge
is augmented by sound analysis of the problems that
beset the fabric of our buildings and statuary.
Our resident scientist Dr Michael Schwar heads our
analysis section with a fully equipped laboratory made
possible by a substantial grant from the Museums and
Galleries Commission along with well respected external
consultants who provide an analytical service ranging
from mineralogy, paint analysis, structural and mechanical
engineering.
